About Ruth

Notice
everything

Hello from Ennis, Montana, and thank you for stopping by. I am Ruth Wood, a rodeo and Western lifestyle photographer. Canon all day, every day.

During a 35 year editing and layout career at daily newspapers, I learned from some of the most talented photographers in the business. One lesson stayed with me: notice everything. Today I shoot rodeos with an eye for the most riveting photographs, rather than documenting an entire afternoon.

I hope my images touch you, whether it is a pull on the heart, a chuckle, or a quiet appreciation of this beautiful world. None of it would happen without my husband Randy, my biggest cheerleader.

Signed, Ruth Wood
